Functionalist armchair S411, 1930s

1930s

The Mücke Melder armchair is an iconic representative of Czechoslovak design, combining functionalism and modernist elements. This armchair, designed by W. H. Gispen, is made of bent chrome tubes and has undergone a complete renovation. In our country, it is considered a symbol of the functionalist era (Bauhaus).

Thanks to the spring-loaded seat and backrest, it provides an extremely comfortable seating position. It has new upholstery, the chrome structure has been re-polished and the wooden handles treated with a restorer.
